IWC Celebrates 140 Yrs In Kuala Lumpur

May 29, 2008,03:01 AM

To complement Kong's marvelous report ( home.watchprosite.com ) of the mirror event in Singapore, the KLites had a similar event in Kuala Lumpur on 27/5/08. The venue was somewhat smaller (at 3rd Flr Restaurant, JW Marriott) but the spirit was not lacking. My thanks to IWC (including Andreas Boesch - GM of IWC SEA, Connie and Jeffrey) and the hardworking team from Valiramgroup for the kind invites.

The detailed and meticulous setup...

People arriving and getting ready for the smashing evening...

Ling articulating "something"...

The charming Joanne DeSilva from Valiramgroup

Connie Goh PR/Communications Manager of IWC and Annie Ang of Valiramgroup

A proud owner of a nice IWC

Esther was at hand to help us with the cigar selection...

I enjoyed Suffian's "Godfather" look

People gathered to gaze at the fine pieces. Just some brief watch shots. I will be posting more detailed shots by the end of the week.

Everyone waited for the start of the dinner

As we browsed the menu for the evening

Scallops, prawns, mushroom, cod, beef... delicious!

Of course, during dinner, there was Andrea's speech and also a wonderful IWC video presentation setting up the atmosphere nicely.

And soothing songs from local songstress, Ida Mariana...

Bonnie, the hardworking official photog winding down...

And the most unique of swag... a German made kerosene lamp!

Thanks for viewing!
